MYB and Internet Dating: Worth it?

With a week off school (until summer semester begins) I get some free time every night to write blogs like this. Gotta love non-school nights! =D

And for those who think this blog is lame, shut up, and don't read it at all. I'm not embarrassed to post anything I post here! I just don't mention anyone's name on here.

Anyways! I'm gonna talk about something that I've done in the past. I guess I'll give my opinions and experiences about it, and maybe you'll determine whether it's worth it or not.

I've met a few girls in real live via the internet. Anyone familiar with the website, MyYearBook? Yeah my ex got me to go on that website and try and find some dates. The results were quite surprising.

The object of MYB was to answer questions about yourself, and you get matched with local singles around the area. You add them, hope they approve your request, then you say hello. Of course, you'll find that some fake whores will add you, then you wind up getting some....yeah. Lets not go into further detail. I always decline the fakes anyways. It's always fun to get a few texting buddies! =D

After a few adds and attempts to IM a few girls, I finally get an invite to meet someone! Now I won't say anyone's names, but I'll pretty much tell you how it went with these specific girls.

Girl A: Hmm. She was pretty cute. We walked around the mall and talked about random stuff. Looks good here. After a while, she started talking about her hormones and what not. I thought I got a little too crazy around her. I guess that's what happens when that's your first girl you've hung out with in a couple of years. In the end, we never met again, and we don't talk anymore.

Girl B: Awesome! Just what I need! A cheerful girl! She laughed at almost anything that I tried to make funny. Makes me feel good! Only thing is, after that meetup, I never heard from her again. After a year and a half of wondering about her, I finally get hold of her! Surprising enough, she remembered everything about me! I still talk to her. She's pretty awesome!

Girl C: Started off well. Lots of mutual interests. We hang out again, then I find out the catch. She kinda took advantage of me. I wound up going to prom with her, even though I kinda didn't feel happy about it. Her step dad passes away a year later, then she moves to another state. She and I don't talk anymore since she moved. I thought it was for the best.

Girl D: She was only a texting buddy. After a few phone calls, and the fact that she went from guy to guy, then finding out she had a kid, I didn't think it was worth continuing to pursue anything.

I did talk to many others. Some of them, I texted, but in the end, I met like 3 and a half girls. Yes. The last girl counts as half a meet.

Now for this: Was the experience of attempting a free internet dating site worth it? I thought it wasn't after a while. I think the website is only for immature kids who don't know what it takes to get a real girl. I'm not saying that's every guy, but when I read everyone's status updates on there, I kinda puked at how they typed and how bad they wanted sex. That's pretty much why I deleted my account, and moved on to what's now called school.

I guess if you wish to try the free online dating website, be my guest. I'm just gonna tell you. It's kinda dumb, but if you really want to meet someone in the area, it's kinda worth the new texting buddies.

Click here and have fun! =D
